INSTRUCTION MANUAL

Having a life jacket or buoyancy aid is not a guarantee for your safety if you do not know how to use and wear it.

1. You should wear a life jacket or buoyancy aid at all times, but this is not practical. Keep it in a place you can easily reach.

2. Adjust the belts so that they are closed and secure.

Always dress with zippers and buckles closed.

Practice use before an emergency.

Try it in the water so you can observe the function of the equipment and what swimming position it gives you.

3. Teach children to wear a life jacket or buoyancy aid. They should be able to use it on their own. Children panic when they go into the sea. This causes them to move their arms and legs quickly. A life jacket or buoyancy aid may not be able to keep the struggling child's face up. So teach us to wear it in water and on land. Life jackets or buoyancy aids are not babysitters. The child must wear them whether on land or at sea, and the parent must be with the child at all times.

4. When choosing a life jacket or buoyancy aid, always keep in mind that it can also be used with other clothing.

5. Your life jacket or buoyancy aid may not behave the same in stormy conditions as in calm weather conditions. The clothes you wear and the items you carry in your pockets can change its operation. If your mouth doesn't stay above water, buy a new one or choose one with more lift.

6. Buoyancy devices such as a life jacket or buoyancy aid only reduce the risk of drowning. It does not guarantee salvation.

MAINTENANCE, STORAGE AND RENEWAL

These buoyancy aids and life jackets are manufactured and tested for full performance and long life. They retain these features if the following warnings are followed.

1. Always ensure that the life jacket or buoyancy aid is worn correctly.

2. After use, wash the life jacket or buoyancy aid with fresh water first and let it dry naturally, then store it in a dry environment. Do not leave it under the sun for long periods. Do not wash it in the washing machine. Oil and similar stains can be removed by hand with soapy water. Never dry on a radiator, heater, or any other heat source.

3.Check your buoyancy aid or life jacket before using it. Carefully examine all parts (zipper, ribbons, whistle, fabric, buckle and belt) and make sure they are working properly. Do not use a life jacket or buoyancy aid that is not working properly; obtain a new one.

4. Do not use a life jacket or buoyancy aid in a way that could damage pillows, cushions, fenders or the like. Never make changes or additions to the product. This reduces the performance of the product.

5. Check your life jacket or buoyancy aid annually. If you detect any discolouration or non-functional parts, be sure to renew your vest for your safety.

6. Store your life jacket or buoyancy aid in places that will not be affected by environmental factors.

7. Do not store the life jacket or buoyancy aid in a way that could damage it, and do not place large weights on it.

8. Do not leave your life jacket or buoyancy aid on for long periods of time when your boat is not in use.

9. Put a sign saying "life jackets are here" where life jackets are located on the boat.

10. Maintenance of life jackets is your responsibility. Renewal may be your own decision, or it depends on the surveyors of that country or the surveyors of the classification society.

LIFE VEST IS DIFFERENT FROM FLOATING ASSIST

Before choosing a buoyancy aid or life jacket, the user should know the difference in function between them.

100 Newton life jackets are designed for swimmers or non-swimmers to use in close waters.

Life jackets over 100 Newtons are designed for swimmers or non-swimmers to use in the harshest weather conditions.

Buoyancy aids are designed to provide swimmers with extra buoyancy in waters where aid is close.
