INSTRUCTION MANUAL

Having a life jacket or buoyancy aid is no guarantee of your safety if you don't know how to use and wear it.

1. You must wear a life jacket or buoyancy aid at all times, but this is not practicable. Keep it in a place where you can easily reach it.

2. Adjust the straps so that they are closed and secure.

Always wear with the zipper and buckles closed.

Do a driving drill before an emergency.

Try it in the water so you can observe the function of the equipment and how it gives you a swimming position.

3. Teach children to wear a life jacket or buoyancy aid. They should be able to use it on their own. When children go into the sea, they panic. This causes them to move their arms and legs quickly. Life jackets or buoyancy aids may not be able to keep the fluttering child's face up. So teach them to wear in water and on land. Life jackets or buoyancy aids are not babysitters. The child must wear them whether on land or at sea, and the parent must be with the child at all times.

4. When choosing a life jacket or buoyancy aid, always keep in mind that it can also be used with other clothing.

5. Your life jacket or buoyancy aid may not behave the same in stormy conditions as in still weather conditions. The clothes you wear and the items you carry in your pocket can change the way it works. If your mouth doesn't stay above water, get a new one or choose one with more lifting capability.

6. Buoyancy devices such as life jackets or buoyancy aids alone reduce the risk of drowning. It does not guarantee salvation.

3. Check your buoyancy aid or life jacket before using it. Inspect all parts (zipper, straps, whistle, fabric, buckle and belt) carefully, make sure they work properly. Do not use a life jacket or buoyancy aid that is not working properly, obtain a new one.

4. Do not use life jackets or buoyancy aids to damage pillows, cushions, fenders or the like. Never modify or add to the product. This degrades the performance of the product.

5. Check your life jacket or buoyancy aid annually. If you detect a discoloration or non-functional part, renew your vest for your safety.

LIFE VEST IS DIFFERENT FROM FLOATING ASSIST

Before choosing a buoyancy aid or life jacket, the user should know the difference in function between them.

100 Newton life jackets are designed for swimmers or non-swimmers to use in close waters.

Life jackets over 100 Newtons are designed for swimmers or non-swimmers to use in the harshest weather conditions.

Buoyancy aids are designed to provide swimmers with extra buoyancy in waters where aid is close.
