According to the standards, emergency eye/face and body showers have to provide a minimum of 11.4 l of uninterrupted water per minute for the eye/face for 15 minutes, and a minimum of 75.7 l of uninterrupted water per minute for the body for 15 minutes, and this is met by connecting to a water mains.
The water temperature should be kept constant between 16-38 °C according to the requirements of the standard. If the clean water supplied from the water network does not meet this temperature range, thermostatic mixing valves can be included in the system, which ensures that the ideal temperature is obtained by mixing the water coming from the hot and cold water sources feeding the water network.
